Looking at how my last post converted to the web, I realized that there is a little something missing from my images. From now on, I will be giving all posted images a little extra TLC to give them the PUNCH they are lacking.
Up to this point, only my printed images get a full edit. I have been playing around with Photoshop and a couple different software programs to find the perfect formula. Guess what?! I found it! Well, at least the start of something awesome. Here is a little preview for you. Awesome, right?! Subtle, but so much better than straight out of camera.
Over the next few weeks, I will be developing a few different styles of editing to match my different styles of shooting. Check back soon to see what I come up with!
So, I know that this blog has been up on my website for quite a while, not really doing anything. We are changing that right now! If all things go according to plan (when does that happen, right?) I will be posting a few times per month so keep checking back to see what's new!
Today I had a client get sick and cancel their shoot. Kind of a bummer because everything was ready to go. My portable studio was set up, settings dialed in, and paperwork ready. But I was left with nothing to shoot! What happens next? I decide to throw my girls in some of their new school clothes (they start one week from today-eek!) and photograph them instead. :D
Can you believe she is only 7? Looks more like 13 to me!
This little girl is so unique. A style mash up somewhere between a librarian and an old woman. Suits her sweet personality though!
Even Lambeau got in on the fun!
It only took a few minutes in the "studio" for me to get bored. Never takes long, that's why I don't rent a space. There are just so many more options outside! Not only that, but models are much more comfortable (=good expression) when they have room to breathe and move.
So what did we do? Head to High Cliff! This used to be one of my favorite places to shoot. I can't believe I have neglected it for so long!
Off we go!
My girls looks sweet and innocent, don't they? Most of the time, yes, they are very sweet; but it doesn't take much for them to start testing each other's patience (and mine).
Little known fact: Gwen's middle name is Willow. So of course we had to hang out by the willow tree for a bit! The tricky part was trying not to stir up the bugs. They were everywhere!
Isn't she beautiful?!
I know I'm a little biased, but Laila's outside is almost as beautiful as the inside.
You would almost think they were having a good time...
